That's the rub. Bears devving a QB is the moon to them.

Peyton Manning would be the 2nd coming of Ryan Leaf if he were a Bear.

Frankly, I think this will be the 2nd time Pittsburgh has won a trade with the Bears. Steelers are getting a class act, hard-worker, and a very talented QB...
He certainly seems that way on the surface. Our QB room went from a bunch of bums to Wilson and Fields in under a week, crazy stuff!

Um, Rudolph and Pickett to Russ and Fields? Um heck yes...that's a monster leap forward in skill. And with Steelies a very run-heavy team, this will work perfectly towards both new QBs' strengths. Fields was running for his life 99% of the time in Chicago. When Pittsburgh and actually some competency in coaching and play-calling, those designed plays where he takes off will drive defense nuts. He's a stronger and harder to take-down version of Lamar IMO. And with a better deep throw.

I'm still pretty down over Bears' trading of Fields for Caleb who I still fail to see is better. The biggest complaint about Fields is he holds the ball for too long. Well, guess what? Caleb does too, dorks. And in Justin's defence, the guy has to hold the ball longer because he had no WRs to throw to except DJ Moore.

That and the new kickoff rule are both lame. The new rule removes the chance of a surprise onside kick which was for the most part the only chance to recover one in the first place.

The worst part about it is the fact they say they are doing it for player safety. Yet interview most of the players and they hate all the changes to the game.

So, Bears ruin another QB?

Odunze is second coming of Kevin White?

Still think they should've focused on the D-line with their 2nd first-rounder esp. with Dallas Turner et al still available.

Bears have a lot of holes to fill. You don’t pass on a possible generational talent.

That said the coaching staff is just …. bleah. Hard to have confidence they can develop any player on either side of the ball.

I am still unsure they did the right thing by dumping Fields. But, Caleb is fine I guess if they give him the proper protection and play-calling.

The part I was more asking about was RE: the #9 pick. I have heard Caleb is apparently 'generational' but is Odunze the same caliber vs. getting a good edge-rusher or interior defensive lineman?
