They might not have the same inventory but try http://www.autobarn.com/ instead of Carparts. I've had problems with them too...ordering tires for my GF's Integra.

Yeah, maybe they don't like me cause i don't wait for a month for them to ship their crap to me. I cancelled out one item on my list cause it didn't even have an expected delivery and today i just cancelled the other out cause he said flat out that they have no idea when the item wwill come in.
WHATEVER! I think they order from the factory when they get an order so they don't have to carry inventory.
That is the last time I visit their site.
I would have just driven to the performance shop a month ago and spent $20 more if I knew I'd be sitting on my hands for so long.

I ordered my Clear corners from them and received them in good time. I guess it's just touch and go depending on whether the parts are in stock.

If there is a way to get the avaliability of the parts first, then I would say check it before placing an order.

I've had problems with procarparts.com as well. I ordered bumper clears from them, and when they came in they were the wrong ones. I ended up getting into a screaming match over the phone with the manager over there, cause he was trying to tell me that he sent me the right ones, and that i can't do anything about that. So, basically sent them back, and called the credit card company and canceled the charge through them.

The problem with carparts.com is that they don't update their website with their current inventory. Their price-matching kinda sucks too.

Let's see... I've ordered from carparts.com a few times, but only because of the crazy 33% off coupons they used to give.

Good:
Couple neon lights arrived within a week

Bad: (all separate orders)
-Borla muffler was supposedly in stock, then it was next week, then it was next month, then it miraculously showed up before the end of next month (although it was still 1 month overdue).
-Custom fitted 2.5RS car cover was in stock, then backordered for a month, then backordered until an unknown time, then it finally shows up when summer's almost over.
-Hella FF foglights are in stock, then backordered, then backordered indefinitely, then the order is cancelled without them telling me a few months later.
-HKS EVC IV electronic boost controller is on sale for an awesome price of $300. Turns out the unit you get is the cheapo HKS EZ. They won't do anything about it. (& I wasn't the only one who had this happen).

So if you don't mind waiting a long time and have a good coupon, it's worth it, but otherwise I'd stay away.

Well it looks like carparts.com, procarparts.com, autocarparts.com or whatever company you all are talking about uses the "just-in-time" inventory method- that may be why things are always either delayed or on backorder (they dont carry any inventory till its ordered). The reason why they use this method is b/c they dont have any inventory overhead costs, but shit gets delayed. Just letting you know to expect this from companies that dont carry inventory.

I'm pretty sure those three companies are seperate from each other despite the similar names. We all know autocarparts.com is completely different but it has a similar name. It's actually good for him cause after you get screwed by carparts.com he tells you to put an "auto" in front and suddenly you get good service

They don't understand JIT delivery and inventory systems completely enough to run their business if they do use Just In Time inventory methods. To use JIT you first need a supplier who can supply in a timely fashion.

I ordered as et of the Euro Clear taillights for my del Sol when they first cae out several months ago and they sent me TWO sets and chraged me for TWO sets when they had told me the price for ONE set over the phone. The second set arrived a week later than the first set and the box was smashed, holes in the box, etc The lights were in really bad shape. It took forever for me to get my refund for the second broken set. Lots of "we are processing it" and stuff like that. They ended up clearing it up, but it took months.

Whoa, that totally sucks. I guess ordering from these online places really is a touch-and-go experience. Grrr!
