Accord springs on the CL?
Hi guys,
Im in the middle of ordering lowering springs for the CL-s and have been hearing that accord coupe springs from 98-01 will work on the 01 CL? The price difference is $65, so I thought i'd come here and confirm with you guys.
All input will be greatly appreciated.
cheers.

yes they work but the spring rate is different cause the weight on the accord is less, especially in the front iirc.
I think I have accord springs on my car i bought some tein coilovers used off kijiji and the guy told me they were for my car, upon install the front mounts were too small so i dremeled out a lil more real estate where the holes in the top mount are and its all fine.
but i think the coils are softer than they should be..
but i do love the ride so i am happy with it. however over big bumps i think the shocks bottom out... only happens once a month but just though i'd let u know.
personally i never would have bought them if i knew they were not made for my car. so u live and u learn.

the accord is about 200lbs lighter so if you use those springs the car will sit lower and the shocks will work harder to control them.

i called tein and they said our car is supposed to have 7 in the front and 4 in the back..
YOU can go 1kg higher or lower on springs for your as i was told by tein yesterday on the phone
so say u buy coilovers that come with 7 and 4 kg springs. the shocks are valved for that weight/spring ratio... you can weaken or stregthen the springs by 1 kg in the front and or the back without worrying about the shocks... if u got more than 1 kg off you may damage the shocks then cause they are valved for that set-up.
i inquired about stiffer springs in the front yesterday and that's what i found out so...
hopefully this is going to guide someone in the right direction.
