3.7 stroker kit soon to be sold

Be on the lookout from a company called TB Motorworx.

They recently announced the news.

Also will be making full on race springs and valves for the J series.

When I was going to order custom valves they were 26 each from manley.

Hope they come out with flat face valves.

I would like a set of them too to help increase compression. If im not mistaken doesnt KMS offer them?

I'm just curious of the cost in comparison to the route you can already take to achieve that 3.7L displacement. As for the valves and springs, I'm wondering how they'll differ from bisimoto's and kms's.

I actually was posting on one of the pictures and they message me details. I was talking to them for a little while.

"We have 2 kits currently available . One kit uses Oem 96mm crank with our spec rods (over 6in) and pistons with a 1.000 compression height. The other kit we have uses a billet Crower 100mm stroke crank. The couple we have sold we ask the customers which engine so that way we know what spacing to put on the crank . The 100mm is made to order. We don't stock it. All the parts are 100% USA made"

I asked about clearance and street or track use only for the 100mm crank..

"A little bit of clearance needs to be made for the 100mm crank. Even though the crank is billet and dam near bullet proof we only recommend the 100mm stroke for track only .(increased rod ratio /angles)"

They are also selling springs and valves. I think they are working on cam gears too.

me- are your valves stainless?
"Yes they are stainless . As you know the J lacks in the cam department because of the cylinder head. Lift is limited . But we have figured out ways around that."
"We have billet cam cores that are in the test phase right now and will be released very soon! Yes .500 + lift!"

Also making cam gears cause they said this. I think...
"Cam gears too but that was a nightmare because the different years have different cam pickups"

Pricing:
"We sell the 96mm crank stroker kit for 3200 , includes our spec pistons , and rods. The 100mm uses a billet crank , our spec rods and pistons that is 5300.
The valves are $26 a piece , and the springs are $22 a piece . The springs we sell are the only ones that will work with our cams"

Pretty pricy as you can get all oem parts and upgraded kms springs, valves and block guard for less.

Interested in the cams and how they achieved over .500" lift without modifying the head.

They would have to grind them right to the core or cut the heads to make somesort of cam caps.

Here's what I would do:

There are four bearings total. The outer two bearing are extremely thin at their smaller point. The center two have alot of material to remove to allow for boring and running over sized cam bearings. The front cam bearing would need to be machined as a removable cap yet maintaining factory size bearings due to being unable to over bore the bearing journal. This is the most economical and logical explanation I could come up with.

I have plans on attempting this but my machinist is temporarily out of commission.

Given that I can obtain accurately spec'd bores all the way through the head...I could then have a set of cams made.

There's a few other smaller issues that would need to be worked out on the head but that's all I'm giving up.

They have all kinds of good stuff; a bit on the expensive side, but there really aren't too many other choices.
