@Stephen00TL even if i get a 07-08 TL S 3.5 engine with the 07-08 TL S 6peed transmission? or do i have to go with a 3.5 RDX with a 04-06 TL 5speed if i want a 3.5 later on im just thinking ahead

let's keep it simple. You don't want a 07-08 TLS engine down the road. Much more work involved there, plus our heads are better.
Stick with the transmissions Stephen said above. If down the road you want a 3.5/3.6/3.7 then you're good to go. You would not want an RDX engine...i think you meant MDX. And the TL trans is a 6 speed.

Whats up with RDX owners?

If you're looking at the 3G TL transmissions, specifically look for an '06. They don't suffer from the 3rd gear pop out syndrome. And if you're doing a legit 6MT swap with the 3G tranny, you will need to either swap the bell housing to an 03 CL-S6 bell housing or drill a hole (in the same spot as the 03 CL-S6) for the crank sensor.
And I'm with gnuts, keep it simple. Our heads are better, and you can easily swap blocks later down the line if you choose.

yes i ment MDX lol thanks....
i would like to eventually do a 3.5 with 3.7 internals down the road but i want reliable i seen one guy put 3.7 internal in our j32a2 block dont know if thats better than a 3.5 block
Does the the 06Tl6speed have a LSD?
does the ECU matter if its a 03CL-S6 or does the 06TL ecu just swap out for my stock ECU or does it require modifications?

First of all, you have a very nice CL, and call me crazy, but I think the lambo doors are pretty awesome, they do seem somewhat rare. I was thinking of putting lambo doors on my 03 CL-S, but I've also got the auto trans, and I'm not sure if it's original, or sure of how much longer it will last. My CL got backed into on the passenger side, and I wish I had gone and paid to have the whole car repainted, instead I just had insurance take care of it, and the car looks great on the passenger side, but everywhere else, it's showing that it is an 11 year old car... Now as for your 6 spd swap, I'd be interested to know how that goes, I'm not sure when my transmission will go out, but when it does, I am considering the 6 spd, simply because I wish I had bought a manual to begin with. But, I just want to know what someone could do to save money when swapping from 5 spd auto to 6 spd man, as I've heard that the 06 oddy transmissions are pretty cheap, and reliable.

love the lambo door kit, which one did you use? (if you don't mind me asking)
