Will this set up rub?! Details inside!
I am lowered on eibach prokit and running 2005 TL Wheels with 235-45-17 and rubbing, so so annoying.
I plan on buying 2003 cl-s rims and running 215-45-17 for a more comfy ride.
Will this new set up rub?
Thanks Guys!

Yeah the rear wheels rub alot, everytime i go over a bump or turn a corner real tight it rubs like crazy.
Its so so annoying, and with the TL wheels it sticks out too much, i dont like the looks of it.
Thats why im going with the 03-tls wheels or the 17" HFP Honda Accord rims

Your present 235/45/17 tires will be more comfortable than comparable 215/45/17 size tires by virtue of taller sidewall and more volume. If you switch to '03 CL-S wheels (17x7, 55 offset) there will be no rubbing. I've run 235/45/17 and 225/45/17s w/ these wheels and will now choose 235 as the speedo is correct and the revs more sedate when cruising in sixth gear.

that sucks bro. Why not keep the wheels which look better then the 03's and change the springs. I've got 05 TL wheels lowered with H&R Sport springs 1.75F/1.5R and no rub
-You can also put some smaller tires on your TL rims...you can even get by with 215/45/17's on your wheels...i've done it for a while

225-50-17 shouldn't rub. Thats the size I'm getting for my 05 TL rims when my 215/50/17's are worn. I guess its personal preference, but I like the offset of the 05 TL rims on the CL...makes it look more aggressive

Well the oem cl wheels are too narrow in my opinion. Those TL wheels look much better. They shouldn't stick out past the fender. You should be able to still slam the car with those wheels...so they're still inside the fender.
You can go to shop to have your fenders rolled - just your rears. Probably a performace shop. You can also rent the fender roller from some places, or you can use the baseball bat method. Heat up the fender lip with a heat gun just enough to make the metal malleable. Then use the bat to roll and push back the fender lip (fold it up).

hmmm, looks like offset on that wheel is +45 (the TL wheel), that is supposed to be min acceptable for our cls. You are still rubbing with those on an eibach pro drop? I'm running an eibach pro kit now and am getting rid of my rims now for rubbing issues to pick up some 19 x 8.5" +45s with 235/35/19 tires.... Wonder if I'll still run in to problems without a fender roll...
