Questions on painting.....

So i want to paint some interior parts in my cl it's the silver and black intierior wanting to change the silver to a royal purple keeping carpet black but reupholstering the ceiling royal purple. I attempted and did a great job on painting the interior of my old car from grey to black with blue trim however..... After using paint especially for plastics and paint for upholstery it began to wear off back to its original colors in just a couple weeks only in places the seats rubbed the center console and the window crank as well as the shift knob is there a way if can paint my silver interior trim in the cl make it look amazing and hold up for a long long time?
