Must buy rear pads with in the next 14 hours!
Well...the wear tab is scrapping away and I have to do some considerable driving tomorrow. I need rear pads so my mech can slap them on at 7am tomorrow. Its time to change all of them, rotors included. I'd really like to just drop the cash on a full upgrade but for now, Im in need of a quick, cheap fix(that sounds fun...) for the next two weeks.
Any down side to going with cheap as dirt rear pads? This is the first time Ive let pads go for this long. What harm could have been done? The noise started a week ago.
Acura opens at 8 and will sell them for $60.

if it is just the wear indicaters, and not the rotor to the backing plate (meaning there is still enough pad left, which if started only a week ago, there still should enough pad left), just drive with them, might be a little noisy, but one day of driving is not going to hurt the rotors (but it sounds like you already want to put new rotors on it anyways

Thanks for the reply victor. I didnt resurface. Should I have? I dont really want to invest any flow in the current setup bcs I plan to junk it and upgrade. I bought cheap ceramics for $32. My honda tech swapped the pads in the honda bay in a half hour and charged me 30; bringing the grand total for a rear break swap to $63! LOL. Anyone who needs a kickass mechanic in the STL area, im me
