Does this seem like a logical price?

I am looking to get my timing belt replaced at 200K miles. It was done at 100K miles at the dealer when the previous owner had the car. The dealership said they recommend a 100K mile package which replaces/repairs as follows:

Timing Belt
Water Pump
Valve Adjustment
A/C Filter
Transmission Flush and Fluid Replaced
Brake Fluid Replaced
Air Filter
Cabin Filter
Lubricate All Joints
Spark Plugs
Wheel and Tire Balance and Rotation

All the above was quoted for $1300. The previous owner had the same package done at 100K miles and I figured at least get the timing belt and water pump done. Give me your thoughts.

Honestly that seems high and I don't see why all of that needs to be done. Is there a mechanic with a good reputation you could take it to to get a second opinion and quote? The dealer is the most expensive place to have repair work done. The timing belt is a gimmie, that needs done. The water pump really doesn't have to be replaced right now unless it's going out. Things like air filter and spark plugs are super easy things to do yourself and will save you money. Tranny flush and joint lube can be done at a lube oil change shop for alot less. You don't need your tires balanced unless their out of balance, rotation is an easy diy. Be careful of going to dealers for repairs.

My local mechanic quoted me $595 for the following:

Replace timing belt
Replace balance shaft belt
Replace water pump
Replace valve cover gasket set
Replace serpentine belt

That is a much better price. The dealer is out of there minds. Thanks for the replies.

Save yourself a ton of cash and do the easy stuff yourself instead of paying the dealership there 90 bucks a hour in labor(or whatever they charge) and the 2x the cost on parts fees

I thought we dont even have cabin filters or at least it was determined that it wasn't worth the time....can't remember

yeah as previously said, timing belt, water pump and valves, that's it and you might want a second estimate from another shop before signing anything. hell, you can even do the trans fluid yourself, Honda quoted me $150 for the AT fluid....hmm, yeah I'll do that for $25.

That's a great price, I'd replace my timing belt again if I could get it done for that price, I paid the dealer like $1300
