getting to rotor

when you take off the wheel and the caliper and your at the hub for our cars do we have to take it to a shop to get it pressed out after taking out the spindles? my friend told me his tech school teacher said thats what you have to do please answer quickly i need my car

what year do u have. if its a 97 yes its pressed on. if its a 98-99 it comes off by removing the two philips screwson the face of the rotor, they get stuck all the time so u may need something heavy duty to remove the screws.

97 : ( so this means that its gonna b a bitch for me to do this? and how much does a shop charge for this?

yea its pressed on. i wanna say around 200$ i know its a rediculous ammount. someone on here did a write up on how to remove a pressed on one with outh getting it pressed off. but ull have to search.

97's require the fronts to be pressed on and off. It will run you an absurd amount. Thats why i didnt get my brembos put on for such a long time. Luckily my friend knows a guy that works in a shop. he put them on for me for $70

my friend said he might be able to get it done at his tech school, and would it be anycheaper if we took the spindle off first? if i found that thread about the DIY would i need any kind of special machine do you think or a special tool that i wouldnt have but a shop would?
