Seat stopped working.

Hello all. My seat stopped working. It seams there is no power going to my power seat. Its basiclly stuck in a position for me to drive. I checked the fuses and even replaced them. I still cant move the seat. Has this happened to anyone? Anyone have any suggestions?

check the track to see if there are any coins or anything that could be obstructing the movement

If there is nothing in the track use a multi-meter to see if there is power getting to the switch and the motor.

I dont not know how to use a multi-meter. There is no sound coming from the motor. I pushed the buttons every way it would go. Also i checked the tracks. Nothing is blocking them. Is there a relay i should check? Should i consider a new seat or replacing the motor?

It's not hard and it's an extremely useful tool/skill to have. Not just for cars but any type of electronic or electrical home repair. You can pick up a decent one at Wal-Mart or a hardware store for $20-$30.

Is there any motor clicking at all? Do your lights dim a little when you try to move the seat? If not and you already replaced the fuse, look into your owners manual and double check the fuse. If it's fine and you're not getting any power at all, then it might be the switch. I have an extra power seat switch laying around I could send ya for like $20. You might also want to do what Polaris said and use the multi-meter. If you get a charge from one of the wires to the switch then it's probably your switch.

There is no sound at all coming from the seat or anything. Guess I go buy that meter to check it's getting power. Also I checked and replaced the fuses just because.
