Please help: how to put front license plate holder back on??

Well I did a machine detailing of my car and removed the front license plate holder to make things easier. It came off pretty stubbornly...but I wasn't really paying attention and just kept on unscrewing the bottom bolts counterclockwise until I could rip the thing off.

Now when I try to re-install it, I dont see how the hell to do it. Are those two metal 'tabs' supposed to have stayed on the car and not on the frame itself? I've tried to remove them off the plate using plyers to hold them still while I turned the bolts, but they won't budge :( Am I missing something here?

Thanks guys

yea those two metal tabs were supposed to stay on the car. You would then line up the plate holder and simply screw it in.

man what the heck...I guess I turned the bolts too much and stripped em then?

oh wells, thanks for the info man

hold the metal tabs with pliers and remove the 10mm bolts from them. They take the metal tabs and slide them on the front bumper mounting holes. Screw plate holder on.

**however** if you ripped the holder off, you may have damaged the mounting holes on the front bumpers. The only solution is rigging something, screwing the plate directly into the bumper or replacing the entire bumper.

:werd: Those tabs should be on the bumper to screw into
