My Release/Throwout Bearing making Noise

My Release/Throwout Bearing makes noise. It goes quiet when I depress the clutch pedal slightly. Unfortunately, Paul says I might as well do another clutch due to the labor involved.

Any other suggestions?

Just curious, was it an OEM one or the one that is included in the LUK clutch repset?

The one included with the LUK kit. Paul already told me to only use the OEM Honda bearing next time.

Interesting thread; when I did the clutch on my 2006 back in 2018 I used the LuK throwout bearing; it was noisy for maybe the first few hundred miles or so and then the noise gradually dissipated and disappeared altogether after the 1,500 mile mark. So far I have roughly 35,000 miles on it and the noise hasn't returned.

Interesting, because the LUK one provided I used has lasted me five years now.

I was waiting for somebody to post this one day as i fixed this issue myself as i couldn’t find it here. The squeaking noise goes away when u barely put pressure on the clutch pedal? I too have the luk kit along with the throwout bearing for 30k miles. The shop that installed it said that it was possible that the TOB was bad, i just dealt with it for 2 years.

I unbolted my slave cylinder without disconnecting the hydraulic lines (unless u want to bleed the clutch for whatever reason) and I poorly cleaned the contact points between the slave cylinder head and clutch fork. I put a glob of silicone grease where the slave cylinder rests on the clutch fork and the noise has been gone for the past 6 months or so. It took me 20 mins to do

I know this is an old thread, but I just did this and it worked. I was ready to replace my throwing bearing and fork arm, but this saved me a lot of time. It most likely had to do with the fork arm not sitting properly with the clutch out, and after lubing the contact point it sits correctly.
